Incident Checklist for EIR Supervisor

Select appropriate site (refer to plan- incident commander may choose)

Set up EIR (see attached sample/review plan)

Place one water cooler, cups and trash bag at SCBA refill area

(This allows F/F to drink at least one cup of water or sports drink while SCBA tank is being filled.)

Review EIR plan with EMS providers working in rehab.

If possible have second crew available (with ambulance) to handle on scene emergencies.

Review wind chill/heat index charts

Periodically check supplies. Have mechanism in place to get more supplies. (water, ice, medical equipment, etc.)

Make sure that F/F are rotating through EIR. Advise the incident commander if the EIR is being bypassed.
